POST BACC CERAMICS
POST
BACC
POST BACCALAURATE
STUDY
PROGRAM (informal, non-certificate based)
Each post bacc student in ceramics has a dedicated work and storage space with 24-hour access to the building year-round. They attend critiques, discussions, and class meetings with our MFA and advanced BFA students and participate in the Wagner Potter's Association, which hosts visiting artists, sales, exhibitions, and funded trips to NCECA and SOFA conferences. Each Post-Bacc must register as an “unclassified graduate student” and enroll in ART420, a 3-credit studio-based seminar. Current tuition and fees can be found at www.siue.edu . They may also attend additional advanced courses in hand building, mold-making, and wheel throwing free of charge. Post baccs are expected to work independently with ceramics faculty toward developing a portfolio of work for applications to residencies and graduate programs while at SIUE.
