Joe Page, Associate Professor and Area Head of Ceramics
Joe Page received his MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2008 and his BA from Knox College in 2003. He is an Associate Professor and Area Head of Ceramics at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. His work has been featured at various galleries, universities and art centers throughout the United States. Page's "Flow Chart" installations propose immersive environments derived from transit maps, weather diagrams, and various pop culture influences: video and board games, comic books, pinball machines, and roller coasters.
Mike Stumbras, Assistant Professor of Ceramics
Mike Stumbras hails from Oak Park, Illinois. He studied at St. Olaf College, where he received a BFA in studio art and a BS in biology in 2011 and an MFA in Ceramics from LSU in 2017. Stumbras has completed residencies around the country and has exhibited work nationally and internationally. He is an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Stumbras makes wheel thrown vessels that investigate the human condition through historical influences and contemporary wheel throwing practices.
