SIUE CERAMICS

The ceramics program at SIUE is committed to fostering the evolution of ideas and techniques, while broadening the scope of possibilities within contemporary ceramics. Students receive engagement from peers and faculty across disciplines in the Department of Art and Design. The ceramics faculty acknowledge their roots in ancient history while striving for new interpretations, a high standard of craftsmanship, challenging the “physicality” of the medium, and creating art that speaks of our time and place.
